There are many versions of the Robin Hood's raiment, varying from green, through brown into the grey tone completed with the distinctive feather hat and original tall boots.

The legend bear many versions and forms as well. Robin Hood remained in our memory as the english outlow who roamed the Bernsdale or Sherwood Forest near Nottinghamshire, a very skilled archer, "prince of the thieves". He was the romantic figure who was "stealing from the rich and giving to the poor", assisted by his outlow gang known as the "Merry Men, stealing not only the treasures of the rich but also conquering the heart of the beautiful Maid Marian.

In times when rich and abundance were exceptions, Robin Hood and his gang managed to bring some justice in an unjust world.
